    How we use AI

Our standards, controls and limits. Last updated October 22, 2026.

    AI-powered, by design

New Global Economy is an AI-powered service. Stories, summaries, videos, images, country insights and answers from the AI Assistant are produced by AI systems. That is a deliberate design choice: it is what lets us cover emerging and frontier markets comprehensively, every day, at a price most people can read.

We state it up front because you should know exactly what you are reading and weigh it accordingly.

Images and video visuals are AI-generated illustrations. They do not depict real events, people or places as photographed.

    Strict internal controls

AI output here is not free-running. Every piece must pass fixed internal rules before it appears on the site:

    • Grounded in sources: content is built from reporting by established news organisations and public data, graded by reliability. Low-quality and excluded sources are filtered out.
    • Dated and sourced figures: statistics must come from recent sources and carry a specific time reference.
    • Neutral language: plain attribution, AP style and no editorial opinion or advocacy.
    • Links back: each story lists the sources it draws on, so you can check the original.
    • Automated checks: content that fails quality, sourcing or length checks is held back rather than published.

    What the service is for

New Global Economy is a fast, dependable layer over information that already exists in public. It does not do original reporting, interviews or on-the-ground verification, and it is not presented as a newsroom of journalists — that is not what it is built to be.

The intended workflow is to keep up here, then follow the links to the primary source for anything that carries weight. Read alongside your own research and wider reading rather than instead of it.

    Limits you should know

Despite these controls, AI can make mistakes. It can misread a source, miss later developments, or state something with more certainty than the evidence supports. Figures and market data may be delayed or revised after publication.

Check important facts against the original sources linked in each story before relying on them.

    Not advice

Nothing on New Global Economy is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or asset. Do not make decisions based solely on our content. Seek a qualified professional where it matters.

    Sources and rights

Source names and links belong to their owners and are shown to credit and direct you to the original reporting. Their appearance does not mean any source endorses New Global Economy.

    No warranty and liability

Content is provided as is, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. To the fullest extent permitted by law, New Global Economy accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, its content.
